Infiniti QX70 vs Acura MDX comparison

Which Is Better: Infiniti QX70 or Acura MDX?

The Acura MDX, a luxury midsize SUV rival, comes standard with plenty of advanced safety features, provides excellent fuel economy, and delivers well-rounded performance. These factors make it a better option than the QX70.

Rather than focusing squarely on handling, the MDX feels light on its feet while also riding smoothly, even over broken pavement. Power in the MDX comes from a standard V6. Although the MDX’s engine produces 35 less horsepower than the QX70’s V6, the Acura is about 200 pounds lighter, which helps even out the difference. The MDX is more fuel-efficient, saving you about $300 per year on gas compared with the QX70. The QX70 comes standard with rear-wheel drive, while the MDX comes with front-wheel drive. For better traction, both models offer all-wheel drive as an option.

The MDX comes standard with a third row of seats, which is not an option in the QX70. That means the MDX can seat up to seven (six if you opt for the second-row captain’s chairs). Second-row seating is comfortable in the MDX, unlike in the QX70, but third-row space is not suitable for adults. Behind the second row of seats, you’ll have 43.4 cubic feet of cargo space in the MDX, which is almost double what you’d get in the QX70. For your entertainment, the MDX’s infotainment system comes with two screens. As cool as it looks, it’s not as easy to use as the QX70’s system.
